Welcome to Qigong
Qigong (pronounced chee gong) is a time-tested Chinese practice which blends movement, mindful absorption and deep, slow breathing. The term qigong is made up of two characters. Qi is often translated as energy or life and Gong means skill. So qigong could be said to be training in the skill of living.
Qigong needs no special equipment or special clothes, is free, and can be practised by anybody, anywhere - from a mountain top to a bedroom. Its aim is better health, longer life, connection to something greater than ourselves and effective and compassionate action in the world. It can enhance every single aspect of our lives.
I offer a variety of free and paid qigong courses, live classes and workshops, and – coming in early 2024 - my new book ‘Qigong: Cultivating body, breath & mind’ (see below) comes with links to 42 instructional videos.
